OFX → CSV

OFX → CSV

Export supported OFX banking transactions to CSV without guessing missing financial data.

Purpose

What this converter does

This route reads supported banking OFX SGML 102 and XML 221 sources and exports a structured generic-v1 CSV transaction layout.

Workflow fit

When this route is useful

Useful when a bank exports OFX but a reconciliation, accounting or data import workflow needs CSV transactions.

Implementation note

What to expect

At least one booked transaction is required. CSV does not preserve every balance or account detail; cards, investments and loans are not supported.

OFX Banking

OFX Banking: support and preparation

Which OFX files are supported?

Only supported banking statements in OFX SGML 102 or XML 221 are accepted. This does not promise support for QFX, cards, investments, loans, pending or correction transactions, or lossless conversion.

Can I check a file before converting?

After signing in, you can request an OFX inspection without using credits or a trial conversion. The summary reports possible missing data and limitations; readiness does not guarantee a successful conversion.

What if dates or balances are missing?

Some CAMT.053 and MT940 outputs require exact value dates or opening balances. You must provide or explicitly attest permitted facts yourself; ValidConvert never silently treats a posting date as a value date or invents an opening balance.
